At the core of my being is a desperate desire to ensure that every man and woman intentionally crafted by the hands of almighty God has the opportunity to know and trust the king of kings. What a magnificent gift to be born into a corner of the earth where a Christian church is readily available on what seems to be every street corner. Unfortunately, this isn’t reality for 3.23 billion people around the globe who still have no access to the gospel. According to statistics published by the Joshua Project, 7,414 of the world’s 17,441 people groups remain unreached. It’s always been tough for me to comprehend just how large a billion is, so allow me to put that into perspective for you using time. One billion seconds totals to 11,574 days or 31.7 years. 3.23 billion seconds totals to 37,364 days or 102.4 years. That’s a lot of numbers, so I don’t expect you to remember these, I just wanted to share these stats for perspective. 😉 Honestly, all of that data crushes me and the weight of that burden paired with a burning passion for Jesus and reaching people motivates me to go to the ends of the earth and that’s how I got to where I am today.
